  • Justin Amash is one of the best representatives. He appears to be motivated only by the desire to create personal liberty and free markets.

  • Awesome Liberty Representative!!

  • Never heard of Amash until he endorsed Congressman Ron Paul...it's good to see another Congressman who will defend the Constitution and the people of this country! Hopefully, he will be as consistent as Ron Paul!

  • I brag to people online that Justin Amash is from my district. That's how awesome he is.

  • Way to go Amash!

    BLOCK DAVIS-BACON

Public unions and gov-mandated pay = 1 of the biggest scam$ of all time-

BLOCK IT CONGRESS! LIVE UP! EARN YOUR PAY FOR A CHANGE-

  • @elbuggo and racism. It was put in place to keep southern black labor from competing with northern union workers.

  • @Ishbu101 again, YT search "Friedman on Antitrust" and "Milton Friedman on Minimum Wage". let your mind be blown :)

    antitrust laws ensure monopolies.

minimum wage laws keep the underskilled unemployed and unexperienced.

you just have to think critically about government's most common effect: unintended consequences.

  • @Ishbu101 you seem to have these vague and unrealistic conceptions that without regulations, corporations would somehow be able to legally force people to basically work for them 24/7 for free. that's ludicrous. competent workers would just sell their services to a more reasonable business. markets, baby.

btw, the issues you mentioned (minimum wage, antitrust laws) have the exact opposite effect you think they do: they HURT the little guy. why do you think the corporations lobby FOR them?

  • @Frettsy Okay...sure...if that's what you think...but next time you're in an assembly line and you have no choice but to do that or live on the streets and you can't even pay your bills it won't be so much about markets as it is about feeling exploited...I mean, historically speaking zero regulation has always been bad for the workers...... I'm just trying to figure out how getting rid of minimum wage, antitrust laws and weekends will be good for the people?!

  • @Ishbu101 if they do not have the option of finding a better job, doesn't that mean they are in the best job they can get?

if you want a computer but don't want Microsoft or Apple, you can go Linux.. or you can go without. you don't have a "right" to a computer.

you'll need to be less vague about corporations that exploit workers. if the worker feels exploited and isn't getting fair pay, he can find a better job. if he can't find a better job, it means he's getting fair pay. markets, baby.

  • @Frettsy I would think many of them would not have the option of finding a better job...I mean technically one is not forcing anyone to do anything...Like I can try and avoid certain brands like Microsoft or Apple, but how successful would I be if I still wanted a computer? I'm just saying some of the arguments seem near-sighted because there is a tendency for conglomerate or oligarchical corporations to exploit workers when there aren't many other options for improvement.

  • I had never heard of Justin Amash before seeing this video. I like him. Is he a freshman Representative? He seems to have an excellent combination of conservative and libertarian ideas.
