  • "I was looking forward to doing something in the action world"

There was action in the Max Payne movie? I remember a boring, instantly forgettable and drawn out clusterfuck of a story. The only slice of action I can remember is a small gun fight with a slow-mo move at the end. Came away from the cinema feeling robbed.

  • @rubbaduckgurl27 ive also noticed that all the films i like and my friends possisbly like are films that critics hate, they like the old flims made ages ago, i feel that the acting simply sucked back then (obv. reasons) but anyhooo :P

  • @philbateman1989 This is an old video, and i didn't even notice it first time around lol. He's improved these days

  • @rubbaduckgurl27 Well obviously they do...and is Marky Mark gonna ruin another game, uncharted, by filmatizing it? Hopefully they get Nathan Fillion or something to play Nate. Point is; people had a great time and experience playing these games, and then someone just HAS to make a movie about it because the game is a success...it's all about money -.- You don't watch a thing as a thing. You watch it. Then you like it or not. And then you get served the same story twice, but it's best the first.

  • So basically, he didn't admit to being a gaming addict, he said he played the game a little, and one of his friends played it a lot. Then the reporter interprets that as "You're a gaming addict?". That's some piss poor journalism right there. That's about as poor as responding to an interviewee who says "I drink a little" by saying "So you're an alcoholic?". You're putting words in their mouth and creating a story that doesn't exist. This guy is a flat out terrible journalist.

  • i bet the the ones most critical of gaming are addicted to pr0n

  • Now that I think about it Rubbaduckgurl, make that 2... Silent Hill wasn't terrible, it just tried too hard to cram Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2, and Silent Hill 3 into one film, and you ended up with Rose who is basically a composite of Harry(SH1) and Heather(SH3) and it isn't like Konami tried to distance themselves from the movie, I mean Silent Hill Homecoming had some elements of the movie.

  • @diogosesimbra Magic Eight Ball says.... All Signs point to yes.

  • @rubbaduckgurl27 There is a difference between expecting too much, and changing the source material which is what happens 99.997% of the time when video game movies are made. The only video game movie I remember staying true to the source material was Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. THAT is why the game FANATICS are so critical of Video Game movies.
