The hypothalamus is the communication centre mediating the autonomic nervous system and endocrine system, if we are trying to pick up all bodily functions related to the hypothalamus, the list may go on indefinitely.

I have a major disorder of the Hypothalamus - my body temperature rises, I get depressed, I have severe cluster headaches, I run to the toilet frequently to vomit. This is triggered deep in the brain in some perfectly normal people when they are accidently exposed to "Beatles" alleged "Songs". When medical science gains a full clnical understanding of this scary event, beatleness shall be stamped out wherever it is found, lest it should ever happen again. Then many a Hypothalamus may rest easy.
