La Vie by Michelle DeCourcy Portland Fashion Week 2009

Reality, music, personal vision and a relaxed philosophy is what inspired this collection. Knowing who I am as a designer has been an invaluable tool in creating the inaugural La Vie collection. This collection is about real life, real people, mood and movement. The collection boasts a collection of basic, yet luxurious tees, pique knit tees and sweaters, viscose dresses, washed silk, and cotton voile separates. The palette notes two extremes; one fresh with washed beach hues the other bright and saturated. The prints are playful and relaxed making this collection very Wear Now. The trim is minimal creating an effortless, I-just-threw-this-on-but-don't-I-look-fabulous-not-trying? Look. I hope you love La Vie as much as I enjoyed creating it.
