Demonstration on how to loom knit the Garter Stitch Amidst Ruffles project. Pattern can be found at www.loomknit.com, designed by Isela Phelps.

You will need the following:
1 Knitting board in large gauge with at least 8 sets of pegs
1 skein of ruffle style yarn
1 knitting tool

Pattern:
Cast on 8 stitches
Row 1-8: Knit in Ruffle Style
Row 9: Knit with e-wrap
Row 10: Purl
Repeat Row 9 and 10: until it measures 18 inches from Row 9.
Next: Work 8 rows in Ruffle style.
Bind off with basic bind off method.

  • Good job. How long is your scarf? Do you use one sein?

  • @lindahoward51 The garter stitch area is about 18 inches. The ruffles area I would say is about 5 inches but it could be more (as the ruffles hang down). I did use only one skein.

  • Very nice job, Isela! :) I like that you did the entire project for this one...I have my ruffle yarn and am all set to go. Now to find the time, lol! ;)
