We must declare that by 'Christians' we mean those liturgical rites that are a part of the apostolic Church. There is a heretical voice these days that equates those within heretical bodies with the True Faith; this is outright blasphemy.

Christian unity is very important, and i believe that we need it, in the end we will all be one with Jesus in Heaven, Jesus gave us His Body and Blood to unify us, i believe the Eucharist is the Sacrament of Unity, but until we can convince protestants that Jesus us truly present in the Holy Communion, that unity will not be fully achieved

@uccomic No... We could all respect eachother, let preachers preach and atheists get on with their own thing, if preaching secularism is common.. lol. And if you havent seen the video... theres about 7 passages telling Christians to be tolerant and be unified; the whole world!

Yeshua (Jesus), clearly desired those who would follow Him to live in peace and love with ALL others, regardless of their faith or lack thereof. Sadly, some people seem to focus too much on an iron-clad orthodoxy rather than looking for ways to unite and cooperate. It's particularly odd to me that half a millenium later, even Protestants and Catholics are still wary of one another. But things have gotten much better in that regard.

At last count there were something like 40,000 (that's FORTY THOUSAND!!) mutually hostile denominations of Protestant Christianity alone, each of which believes itself to be the sole possessor of Biblical truth. Truly they are LEGION. What do you call "unity divided by 40,000"? I call it a colossal failure. I call it powerful evidence that the Bible is untrue, that there is no holy spirit, and that the religion called Christianity is false.
