The 56 announcer was Tom Evans.

@StukInBuf General tire owned channel 7....it was taken away by the FCC in the early 80's. It involved a scandal.

General Tire, at one time, owned Channel 7. It was taken away from them in scandal in the early 80's. The announcer on TV56 was Tom Evans..known as Neil MacNevin. He was the popular booth announcer there for almost thirty years.
