emerson horseman knife takedown review part 1 of 2

part 1 of 2.
In this video I am taking apart and putting together the emerson horseman. It's a 154cm steel blade, non serrated user. G10 handles and titanium liner lock. It's a very good knife, very strong and I put it through some abuse, which shows by the way. I'll talk about what I did to the knife and how it affected both the lock and the ball detent.
It's a very cool knife and very good in use. I really like it a lot for edc use, better than it's bigger brother the cqc-8 by emerson. The emerson horseman is just a little bit less agressive for me which I like. This one is chisel ground and I polished it on my japanese waterstones up to 10000 grit with very good results.

btw: the ball detent is broken but the blade is not opening by itself, I left this out of the review. It will open with the right motion and it could be safer/better with a functional ball detent, but it is not as bad as you would expect without a ball detent.

That ball falls out because the liner is 300 series stainless steel, not titanium like the lock side. Mine fell out also and on more than my Horseman. Notice the tab for the anti gravity device lost all memory of the spring set it had too so even if the ball was in there it wouldn't work because the tab is sitting flush with the liner and flat instead of sticking out like it should.
