This lesson demonstrates how to do hammer ons and pull offs more effectively, as several people have messaged me saying they are not getting a clear sound when they do the hammer ons and pull offs. My NEW guitar lesson website:

  • thanks for the vids bobby your awesome

  • Now, I haven't tried this yet, but the way that you almost pluck the string off to the side implies that you do not pick when playing this. Would I be correct in saying this?

  • hey bobby crispy do you have a video on how to develop hammer on and pull off speed ?thanks and great video im learning lots from you :D

  • BobbyCrispy is my religion

  • One of the best videos on YouTube! Thanks so much!

Not really mate. The advantage with an acoustic is that it's harder to do things on the acoustic than the electric. What I mean is that it takes a little more effort to get sound from the acoustic. After playing it acoustically, you'll find it easier to do on the electric.

  • Would a electric set to low volume work as a replacement to accoustic hammer on practice?

  • Do you pluck the string with the pick being played as well?

  • It usually seems to be done with finger 3 by the looks of things.

  • in this video you sound sick
