bottom line is cosuming less calories than you burn. You can sleep 8 hours a night, but if your calorie intake before going to bed has been more than what you are going to burn off sleeping, you will gain weight. He touches on this in the intro video on his website.

He talks about eating badly before sleeping, and burning the calories, but actually overall your total calorie intake has to be less than what you burn off. Yes you are fasting while sleeping, but it's better to have a healthy low-cal dinner if you want to trim down. I am just starting this journey, and I can feel the difference when waking up.

you burn lots of calories sleeping. So when your body has muscle tissue to rebuild, it has to use tons of calories to do this.

is 7 hours okay? obviously i know 8 hrs is a lot better, but lately the most i can get is 7 hrs

scooby1961 has been talking about it for a long time. so do not say that nobody talks about sleeping as something helpful to lose weight and to perform better thge following day.
