  • They do look like slicks; his tires were probably just super worn down. MR2s chew through the rear tires at an alarming rate.

  • Fuck Ann Rivas! Thats why she's still single and lonely!

  • MR2's are very tricky to drive at the limit as previous posters have said. Again...they break loose instantly, and won't telegraph it's coming..*snap*.. the driver better be ready. Don't dump the throttle, just modulate...and of course if you go for the brakes..as most people do when scared... it's GONE. If someone buys one of these, it's always good to get some track/instructor time with it. Driven well, not much can hang with these go-carts...

  • @ElvisRockVinyl yes hehe.. not many young fellas have experience with a MR car.

  • Its always funny to hear peopole blaming the comditions, instead of themself. foolish

  • For those of you who say that MR2's are tricky to drive at the limit: True for 91/92. But for 93+ toyota changed the rear suspension. This car is a 93 MY. Can't tell if it its a turbo or NA, but it doesn't matter as both got suspension upgrades for 93 MY.

  • not all of us are stay at home moms ann rivas..someone has to put food in the kitchen for you to make...

  • Hmmm I wonder if it was turbo or N/A?

  • lol love my 2 and its a shame to see on off, however i think its safe to blame it on the tricky mid-engine, short wheelbase layout along with the slicks and calli drivers inability to drive in the wet..

  • Because it's mid-engined, you pretty much have to be counter steering *before* the rear end has moved more than a few degrees out, as the weight distribution is central the car spins easily. Throttle has to match your intended exit speed unless you want to maintain a slide- too fast= drift, too slow = snap over-steer. My MR2 Turbo is the only car that still scares the hell out of me on a daily basis :)

  • Poor 2, same colour as mine aswell, god help that ever happens to me lol or anyone!

  • @IshmarKusam Cool....now I wanna try driving one!!!! LOL

  • @IshmarKusam So how DO you recover? Aside from counter-steer, do you simply modulate the throttle? I'm just curious, since from what I'm seeing, liftoff or throttle up both produce disastrous results.
