Trike flying backwards

Me flying my trike with no penetration. In fact, watch the ground and my numbers. I'm actually going backwards...I'm glad I didn't have anywhere to go that day!

you can get down to a few hundred feet landing that way but then the bottom falls out and you have to start moving again. I had a Stranger wing just like that one you are flying not long ago.

The good thing is that I have enough thrust to throttle up and get to where I am going. It's easy to make it fly like that and fun.

I've done that in a Cessna 150, but haven't done it in my Trike yet. If the wind was like that all the way to the surface you could land like a Harrier. :) Wonder if anyone has ever landed a Trike backwards? Hmmm???

I've been there before in my PPG...kinda scary when you're over trees and a river and to get back to the DZ you have to fly against the wind at the same speed as your thrust!
