Thanks again for taking the time to make another post. Here it is an little after 5 in the morning and I'm sitting in front of the computer in my jammies, drinking a cup of coffee and slamming around on guitar. @privettricker okay! i didn't know that! but I don't believe that after transferring the audio from a multiple-track-tape to a normal one, producing it onto a record, remastering etc the speed stayed exactly the same.

@daanvanderspek Not really. They slowed the tape down when they produced the album. They did it on purpose, it's not a product of a bad recording process. The Beatles manipulated tape speed all the time, e.g., Paul's vocal on She's Leaving Home is slowed way down, Paul's vocal on When I'm 64 is sped way up. They did the same with instrument tracks a lot.

@jin256 its tuned down because the cd (or other source he's playing with) is probably recorded from a record (LP or something). they dont always play at the perfect speed so it may be a little higher or lower.
