Is the glider here a WW XC about in the late 70s? I have a friend who owned one with the same paint job and I am almost sure it was this wing. I think it used to belong to Chris Wills. Also is that at Grandfather Mountain? It sure looks like the bottom LZ by the lake.

@ke4lyy Back in the '70's I was known for my hand-painted "butterfly" gliders and flying with my dog, Curtis, and we flew a Wills Wing SST and Wills Wing 110G. This video is an excerpt from a show we were on during the Masters of Hang Gliding meet at Grandfather Mountain in 1978.

@emmhorse FYI - Curtis rode on a surf board, rode on the back of a motorcycle and did everything with Burke. It was only after he broke his leg jumping off a cliff trying to follow, that Burke made him a harness and they started flying together. Look closely at the beginning of this video and you'll see Burke talking to him, then Curtis taps him on the shoulder with his paw and wags his tail. Don't worry at all, Curtis LOVED to fly.

I WOULD LOVE A COPY OF THE SONG!!!!!!!!!

At 55 years of age......I just bought another hang glider. I havent flown since 1976 or so on my old Seagull 3. Now I own a Airwave Mark 4....and Im gonna do it again!

I also ordered a Curtis the Flying Dog shirt!!!

Yes an SST! I thought it looked familiar. I learned to HG on an SST back in 77. I live in NC and have flown GF many times. We probably have some mutual friends. Were you at the GF reunion a few years back?
