And on the political beat, the Orange Democratic Movement party's grassroots polls kicked off countrywide amidst confusion over the mode of elections. While some contestants for various positions favoured the secret ballot, others opted for the 'mlolongo' or queue voting. Through the polls, the orange democratic party is seeking to weed out rebel members and position itself ahead of next year's general election. And as Francis Gachuri reports, the party's elections board has raised the red flag over possible infiltration by non-members.
