Kraze recently motivated my lame ass to start working on the train again, so I promised I would set aside my Sundays for it. I let it sit, untouched for about three years. Check out: www.myspace.com/olias or www.myspace.com/runninthingsrecords

  • Hey man !, your layout seems to be a very great one. Whenever you can, please shoot another vid more in detail for all of us around the world. You've done a very great job in landscaping and design; and something like that, really deserve to be shown in all its glory !!. Cheers from Chile, my friend and keep on going.

  • @jhonny1392 Geez! Thanks. I have to say, I haven't been down in the train room for a year or so, but I have added some since this video. Notice you see no turn-arounds. This is because they were bare wood and track, but one end has been filled in. Not entirely - Still have foliage etc.. Probably should go down there and blow the dust off the tracks.

  • on my nscale layout i use benjamin moore interior flat latex paint it worked fairly well you can buy the small samples they come in a lot of colors they stuck to the kits i bought with no problem its cheeper than the hobby store paints and look more real

  • @MegaBesomeone I get down there to the train usually starting in the Fall. I have to clean the tracks and run the spiders out of there. It's in its own little 6' x 9' room with a door on it. It gets hot in Iowa in the Summer. Not real bad in the basement, but still uncomfortable.

  • Yeah - It's hard to paint plastic and make it look fairly realistic. i prefer wood kits, but they are expensive. Scratch works out the best, but N is tedious.

  • Thanks! I'm trying to get my hands on a 5.5" LCD screen/monitor for the Methoplex drive-in. It would look a lot more authentic. The one hooked up now works, but it has a lot of dead space around it. I actually had the DVD's audio running through a digital delay to give it that authentic slap-echo sound of a real drive-in ;)

  • Sure you should, Kipp !. Just think that many of us would be crazy to have only a portion of what you have achieved in your basement and like a treasure would care of it. So, please go down and blow off all the dust and get your magnificient layout alive again !. And don't forget post a new vid, of course. We all are expecting for watching new one !. Many greetings from Chile, and hope hear from you very soon.
