I hated the original mix of music and decided to implement a new one to test out some of Final Cut Studio 2 I just got last week. I'm a student and I enjoy editing, both video and sound. I enjoy practicing sound editing. The video isn't originally mine, but it's awesome. I think music is a vital part of any piece of work. Pardon the crackling, must be recompressed too many times. Tried for two hours to fix it. No avail yet. Tell me what you think musically. I figured I could insert some different and rarely heard Star Wars tunes from the Shadows of the Empire soundtrack by Joel McNeeley.

  • I knew Mace wasn't dead, he was just bidding his time!

  • Is that Thrawn at 0:58? And Mara Jade at 1:01?

  • Force lightning doesn't kill mace windu but it does give him a bitching stash!

  • Where's the rest of it?

  • Nice stuff, only concerned about the character design somewhat :) well well

  • these storys are basiclly part of the galactic wars from episodes 4 to 6. the war ended at the end of episode 6 as george stated.

  • WTF!!!???? MACE WINDU AT THE END????

  • good work :)

  • For the second part, Prince Xizor's Theme might not be the part piece of music to use, as it doesn't fit the heavy-Rebel visuals I'd suggest maybe using a clip from The Destruction of Xizor's Palace, starting at about 5:35 into the song, where a fast-paced rthynm starts and some of the Rebel fanfare can be heard. It builds to a pretty goopd climax that just might fit the remaining runtime of this trailer.

  • Very neat idea to go with Shadows of the Empire- that soundtrack is pretty amazing and complements the films nicely. However, I think your timing here is off- the early slow, "building", chant works for the first part of the trailer (especially the Vader shot), but the climax it finishes at should be timed to finish just before the first blockade Runner/X-Wing shot (after the "now the adventure continues" title card. As it is now, it ends way too late and interupts the pacing of the visuals.
