awesome i shoot a savage with a 4x12 and Harris bi pod and accutirgger. My son shoots a marlin with a 4x16 scope i had to put a custom 2 pound trigger from cabela's which made a huge improvement. we use the hornady 17gr vmax or the cci 20gr fmj. I have built several Remington 700's for thousands of dollars and they now stay at home the 17hmr is so fun it instantly became our favorites. weather permitting we shoot golf balls at 200 yrds and tennis balls at 300.

@filli297 its called human error bud he wasnt takiing a LOOONG time between shots was he i can do the same thing with my 17 hmr at 100 its all in how you breathe and take your time between shots that kid could prob run each bullet through teh same hole if he took his time

I have the marlin 917v with the hawke varmint ll 8-32x44. Trust me, I know that round.

good shooting on that...I own a savage btvs and it is sooooo accurate it is crazy!!!! Killed a wolf with one shot to the head no prob at 125 yrds!

not bad kiddo... slightly to the left because of cross wind visible on grass and bushes at background. 17 cal is easily affected by crosswind at that range. keep it up your doing great.

@filli297 its a 17 cal hmr the bullet is moving 2200 fps at a 100 yards this is 1 serious gun its a100 yards not 5 feet lol

the scope is 3 to 9 power the gun is a savage 17 cal hmr with a stainless floating varmit barrel i shoot federal 17 grain v shock bullet2550 fps serious gun bud im not the best shot but my son is a great shot the gun also has a accu trigger and a harris bye pod go bye 1 you wont regret it
