This Short clip is from Hazur Mahraz Tarlochan Darshan Das Jis Satsang on the 11th April 2009. This Satsangs Spirtual Message is from Jap Ji Sahib Pauri (stanza) 13, the Bani of Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Mahraz Ji.

The below is an attempt to translate the core message from this Satsang clip. Please forgive me for any mistakes in this translation.

mannai surat hovai mann budh
The conscious has woken. The mind has stopped. The intellect and understanding has stated to work when I have gained full faith and belief that there is God.

When you start to believe in God then you will be afraid of him everywhere as we go and hide and commit sins due to people saying that God resides in his house; Mandirs, Mosques, churches, Gurdwaras, Deras and sants (holy messengers).

We have just limited God and put God into a boundary, that he is only god for this place of worship. However God is everywhere. There is not a single place where there is not God.

To believe that God is God will then change and awake your conscious and divine comprehension. And when it will awake you will most certainly gain happiness. Awake! And think and believe that God is everywhere. You cannot hide from God. You cannot be distant from God.

God is also in the air. The air we breathe, where does it come from? This too has come from the mouth of God, it goes inside us and keeps us alive. If I say I can stay without air (oxygen), can this ever happen?

We also drink and survive on water. Where has water come from? The water that was with God was called Amrit (holy Water). The water that has come down to the world is just called paani (water). In this world when god blesses water (bhog) this then becomes Amrit. We should also think about God when bathing and you will certainly fell the change in your body and yourself.

In the shabad Swaas Swaas Simron Gobind that when breathing your concentration is on God not on breathing. On this shabad there has been explained and discussed by many Gurmukhs. Swaas is a wind/air which has come from God. Pawan Guru is explained that how a person needs air to live breathe and survive that is how a person needs a Guru to truly live. This will always remain.

These are very deep meanings. We read and listen to japji sahib everyday to learn something. Every moment Guru Sahib Ji has taught and explained. There is not one thing that is left unexplained. On believing Guru Nanak Mahraz Ji has written 4 pauris (stanzas). Mahraz Ji has started from the 12th pauri mannay kee gat kahee na jaai and completes this section at the end of the 15th pauri.

Mannai sagal bhawan ke sudh. There are many bhawans in this world. Where ever there is the teachings of God that becomes a bhawan. Bhawan; meaning a house of God. When we believe that there is God and we have full faith in God then the whole world will be Gods house. We then realise what the true house of God is. We learn that it is your living body that is the true house of God, where God presides. Where God has never come out of; the purest and truest house of God, Gurdwara , Mandir etc is your body.

Guru Amar Das Mahraz Ji explains that the body is the true Hari Mandir (house of God). Mahraz ji explains look at your body, but we still are looking at the outer appearance. Look deep inside yourself to the inner world. It is not difficult. Do not think that it is hard to find the inner world. We just have to find a way/path/method to look inside. The person who has found their method has completed their work. For example in this world when we start any work or business we get advice from friends and learn how to set up and run your business. Similarly the more interest and love we have for God we will then be searching. We will reach such a point that we will look back and see that we should have been on this path to God from the start we should have woken our conscious and divine comprehension from the start.

How will we awake our conscious minds? By Simran (meditation). What do we call Simran? Simran is to remember God. Simran is a Sanskrit word. In Punjabi we would call it Yaad Karana (to remember). So with meditating and remembering my Satguru (God) my sleeping conscious will awake.
