Unless you have investment money to invest in NZ businesses.... then there's an exception... but it is sad that one can't retire in NZ w/o plenty of surplus (investment) cash...

Its not a bad pad with a nice view. How much dirt does it come with? I agree the NZ property market is well over valued. I was home last year and thought Id just put the feelers out on how much the bank would lend. they came back with 1.3 million bucks! When you start looking at what rents you CAN'T command in NZ as oppsosed to where I have my other properties (London) a massive meltdown is on the cards. All ecomimic indicaters point to higher interest rates.
