Ach, waar is de tijd.....dat muziek nog muziek was en geen ordinair lawaai....
Waar is de tijd van zijn formidabele lp: "Music for Losers"?
Ik mis die man. Ik mis die muziek.....

I still have a pair of tickets to Earthquake McGoon's that Mr.Turk Murphy sent to me as a thank you for the letter I wrote to him back in 1976. If only I could have made the trip to Frisco ! Mr. Murphy was a kind and generous man to all his friends and many fans. He is truly missed!

You got them all and calling it the best group Turk ever had is darn right. I wonder if that is how Turk saw it. Wouldn't you love to know? Can you identify the older black vocalist in the other video that gets linked with this?

Yes. the 1970's Oakley sideburns confirm. And if my eyes don't deceive me, it's
Bob Helm, Carl Lunsford, Bill Carroll and Pete Clute. From my memory, the best group Turk ever had. Man I miss Turk.

Super, exciting band. Great to see the legendary Bob Helm on clarinet with his wonderful quirky style, great complement to Bob Schultz' crisp cornet and Turk's blatts!! But the rest are amazing too.

I JUST WISH fritz51328 WOULD LIST THE MUSICIANS, AND GIVE THEM CREDIT

Ahhh, I so wish Turk could see this. He'd probably dig YouTube. ;-)

Great stuff but the crispy cornet is Leon Oakley, not Bob Schultz.
