Make a DIY video camera tripod mount to use with your Motorola Droid cell phone. Easy to build with readily available parts from any good hardware store and a Body Glove belt clip.

  • Does this work very well? It looks like a great idea just seems like it might fall a lot. If it doesnt then this is my solution to a tripod for my droid. lol

  • @MrX474

I never have trouble with this falling off, the loops are very strong and if you felt that that might be a problem for you you could buy the industrial hook and loop Velcro sells for extra stength.

  • cool to hard for me though

  • I'd love to hear from you on what part of this would be hard for you? What would help?

  • @GSSTechEd well first you should add me as a freind lol but i dont have plumers tape or anything haha but two things are that i dont know where you found the bottom blue peice and i think it would be a pain to get the phone out of the cover

  • @coltenbuckelew The cover is snug but adding the Velcro to your case makes no difference to getting the phone out of it. Plumbers tape is available at any hardware store. The blue piece is a tripod I purchased site to store from Wally world.

  • This looks like an interesting way to work around purchasing a special clamp or some such to hold my Droid2 phone for vlogging. I already use a Body Glove case, so I am debating on just adding the velcro loop on my existing case. Can't decide if that would bother me or not.

  • Sweet job man! Great idea.

  • @rrwakefield OK thanks

  • @MrX474 I have found this to be very stable in fact and simple I've used this a number of times in several different situations. The flexible little tripod is very handy.

  • Very nice! So simple and I had everything I needed already! Thanks!
