There is a New York Comic-Con that happens in Feb each year. It's actually becoming quite popular. However, just because a convention calls itself a "comic-con", doesn't mean it has anything to do, in name, size, or quality, with the one true convention that all geeks trek to: the San Diego Comic-Con. It is the one that all other conventions aspire to be: big stars, exclusive clips, busy exhibition floor, and lots of fun. Google the New York Comic-Con if you can't make it to San Diego.

Yes, there are. Tons of videos all over youtube of this panel. Of course, the footage was never cut, because the footage was never recorded. If you've ever been to comic-con, you know how it is. I like going to the convention, so I don't risk getting kicked out and I respect the wishes of the studios who are kind enough to bring us these exclusives. If the other douchebags continue to record and post the video the studios ask us not to, they'll just stop bringing exclusives.

If it's not official, then Fox is just slow on the uptake. Plus, not all of them are the real deal. We like our relationship with the movie and tv studios, so we don't cross them. If some joe schmoe wants to post the trailer illegally, more power to them. It will get deleted eventually.

why did you cut the preview?

Because it's illegal to videotape the footage they show us at Comic-Con. They have security constantly combing the aisles looking for cameras and will throw someone out of the convention (not just the panel) for filming. Plus, they chant "do not record the video footage!" like a mantra every 5 minutes. There is no way you could claim you didn't know. Sure, you might see the clip here and there on youtube, but it gets pulled down quickly. And we like having our videos stay up.
