No, the music was written by an Englishman, Martin Phipps. Phipps used the Medieval Babes to perform most of his music and then chose the London Bulgarian Choir for some of his tracks. The music however, is not Bulgarian. It is English,having been written by Martin Phipps

The music may be written by an Englishman,but tell me why did he choose bulgarian women to sing?Because we have GREAT VOICES and WONDERFULL FOLKLOR...not to mention our great LANGUAGE!So it is not only english song,it's also a Bulgarian...even more ;))

@Shockwave474 2. - I`d also like to add that AMERICAN in particular can be anyone who`s open-minded and believes in the American dream.That doesn`t say we have to obliterate all other cultures and actually forget our origins.It`s just that we have to appreciate others` cultural heritage as we do our own.And believe me,if you knew anything about this particular kind of singing you`d know ,as Martin Phipps does,that it`s more than just a characteristic of bulgarian folklore.
