Yeah level design is very Poor this was back then a descent Game but it didn`t age well. But on the other Hand SMS didn`T have much RPG or Adventure Games. Thx for your vids.

You're both right, when I was playing this it felt like a poor man's Zelda 2. Just think, I've cut out almost an hour of backtracking from this vid!

I got this the moment it came out..I was 6 back then..It took me 15 years to finish it.. It made me quite aggressive when I was a child but it helped me to get an early understanding of the english language ( I´m from Germany:)

This game haunts my thoughts to this day.. Hearing the music for the first time in 18 years only makes it worse.. Me and my cousin could never get past the bloody statue. No matter what we tried. This game is insane. The title should have read "Don't play this unless you're older than 16 and have the patience of an angel", that would have saved me a lot of repetitive hacking, slashing, arrow shooting, and dying.

Zelda II meets Castlevania II: Simon's Quest meets Ghosts & Goblins. this is one of those games where 30 secs. of gameplay shows you all you need to see in the game. completely turdtastic. my only question is, if the lord of the sword is the lord of the sword, then who's the lord of the lord of the sword?

what a lame looking boss..the bipedal lizard who chased you in earlier levels would of made a better boss sprite

@drosselschnaps there was also Kenseiden and Wonderboy;Monsters Trap. Also Y's although I never actually played that although I think it got good reviews.

@Ashikun exactly, this game wold have been a lot better with at least a password save! I could never sit there for 8 hours only to be killed by some stupid thing halfway through.

Cyrus7500 is right, SMS didn´t have many RPG games but the few games SMS had were very good..Thinking of Golvellius or Golden Axe warrior (okay maybe a Zelda ripoff but at least a good one) Thank god I still have them around and play them once in a while.
