  • @usedbrain Since when does omniscience fall into different categories? What is the difference between inherent, absolute and total omniscience? Your response is nothing more than christian apologetics blather.

  • @usedbrain When you say "mentally lazy," do you mean like what people in cults become that no longer think for themselves, but allow some other entity, whether a man or a composite group, to do the thinking for them? Do you mean mentally lazy like that?

  • @Hornadayfan You make the common and lazy mistake of assuming that the existence of some religious BS proves that ALL religion is BS. That reality does not make you "mentally ill" but rather mentally lazy.

  • @Hornadayfan There does not exist a single statement in the Bible that states or indicates that GOD is "Omniscient" according to your presupposed definition of the term. If that statement is in error, I am sure you would love to prove your case with some evidence rather than emotionally charged ranting.

  • @Hornadayfan You would do well to educate yourself regarding "INHERENT" omniscience and "ABSOLUTE" or "TOTAL" omniscience. There is a significant difference between the two terms. And if you are actually interested in learning something, I am fully prepared to provide scriptural evidence regarding my statement regarding the Biblical record. It is amusing that you think an ALL POWERFUL GOD would be subject to your definition of "omniscience" like an impotent victim.

  • @usedbrain You said: "The Bible clearly shows that God chooses to not know certain things ahead of time."

What kind of stupid reasoning is that? That could easily be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

You need to read the definition of omniscience. No where does being omniscient include the ability to choose. A god would either be omniscient or not.

Christian apologists are a stunningly ignorant lot.

  • You want to know why God created the world, even though he foreknew that evil would step into the picture? Like "usedbrain" stated, He did it out of an act of love. I agree with usedbrain's statement. But at the same time, God also does things for His eternal glory.

God hardened pharoah's heart, even though He knew that it would lead to evil. But later on, you find out that God did this so that His ETERNAL NAME could be declared throughout the earth and so that Israel may know God is LORD.

  • By stating that God knew all the evil that would result from creation you are actually making him responsible for ALL the evil that resulted. You deny Jas 1:13. Also, you presuppose that God knows EVERYTHING in absolute. The Bible clearly shows that God chooses to not know certain things ahead of time. That is in harmony with the definition of "Inherent Omniscience".

God IS Love...his act of creation was an act of love...you degrade it to an act of evil!

  • Why the cut off at the end?
