But church on rue Daru is russian, not greek. Pierre Duclos, Georges Martin read, that they married in small greek church on rue Georges Bizet.

thank you very much. I loved XVI, I felt there really nicely...Well, what I meant with the mairie - it was the street, sorry for bad formulation - is it in the Avenue Henri Martin??? Sorry for asking...

Edith Piaf was married , first at the " Mairie du XVI ème arrondissement" then, at the cathédrale Nevsky, rue Daru. You are right, the XVIè arrondissement is so big, the biggest in fact!
Edith Piaf was so lucky! Theo was so hot!!

@gabo262 :-D Yep, Théo was a handsome boy, but such a cutie and I guess he didn't have it too easy with Édith, I think he had to enormously admire and adore her :-)

Edith Piaf has a really tragic life. And although when she fell in love she would throw helself totally and deeply in the relationship it always ended tragically. Her very first love died in the world war... her second in a plane crash and with the last one Theo she was the one who departed. And she helped so many new singers...
small as she was and frail she was indeed a GREAT SINGER AND PERFORMER although she hardly moved and only had a white light on her. So simple and yet so fantastic!

@matambussa Oh yes, I believe she loved being in love, I guess that's why she didn't have a long relationship. I'd say her biggest love was singing and love itself :-) BTW I can't realise the name of the one who died in WW - who was it?
