Great video, but I would advise against caulking the base of the wall. The small gap at the bottom is important for allowing water vapor that gathers on the face of the foil (behind the cedar) to escape/drip out.
Instead, before adding the foil, you can install a small strip of metal flashing at the base of the wall, with the lip nailed to the stud behind the foil (and then add the foil, overlapping the flashing). This offers the best of both worlds.
great video !! I am looking to do my family room. I want to use a really nice wood. Do they have red oak in tounge and groove. I am not an expert but pretty handy.
