Watch interview outtakes from leading Louisa May Alcott scholars, including Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Geraldine Brooks (March) and John Matteson (Edens Outcasts: The Story of Louisa May Alcott and Her Father). Louisa May Alcott: The Woman Behind 'Little Women' premieres Monday, December 28, 2009 on PBS (check local listings).
As a living history actress I am deeply indebted to all the biographers of Louisa. I suggest reading her letters and journals then her books. If you would like "Louisa" to be at your school, library, senior center, theatre or civic event, google "Marianne Donnelly Affordable Family Entertainment" to view a YouTube link to her accurate, joyful show, "Beyond Little Women," which has been enjoyed by descendants of the Alcotts and thousands of young audiences.

I've seen an advance screening of this film and really liked it. I hope a lot of people will take the time to watch it this coming Monday night on PBS!
