@sweetheart2109 The UK no longer owns it because it is outside their national waters. it is in international waters, e.g. unowned waters. therefore, it is legally a sovereign state, it also meets the demands of the Montevideo conference which sets the rules for statehood, it has a functioning government, citizens, It can and has opened relations with other nations, It has taxes, it can defend itself, so, by international law, it is a legal nation! so stop bitching.
