This should have been a TV series. I'd have bought the DVD if it were.

Who played the King? Is it Jerry Juhl?

This should have been greenlighted as a TV show: it's one of the best comic strips out there. Things may have changed some in Id, but the King's still a fink, the Spook is still in jail, Rodney the knight is still a coward, and the Wizard's wife is still a nag.

OMG- this is great! I became a fan of "Wizard of Id" around three years ago & read it in the sunday's comics. The Wizard's nagging wife(Blanch) & Rodney knight are two favorite characters. I guess it can be harder to portray a comic strip in "live-action" format & still deliver the same humorous effect you get by reading it "frame by frame" in the papers. Seems like the king has been "toned" down somewhat in recient years(less tyranical)- but he's still "A FINK".

That's too bad this didn't get greenlighted to a full series.

"That's easy. How many people are on your payroll." Good one-liner, and so unfortunately true in our political climate today.
