I think that would be great. But you can't tell an individual ( especially in American ) how to spend our money. Maybe if taxes didn't hurt us so bad we would donate more to charities to help these people in need. But what an excellent video

Nice sentiment, but by buying the hat for my cat, I actually help create a manufacturing job in China, thus feeding a family there. If we all spent 20% less, a lot of manufacturers and retailers would go out of business and mayhem would ensue. Many people would lose jobs and be hurt.

@MrRalphieW it dosent really work much that way because china has cheap and very poor salaries thats why so you'd be supporting those low salaries and that would keep on going but it would be different if you payed what is deserved and not what is cheaper

@MrRalphieW Non-profits create jobs, too. Giving money to a non-profit goes, in part, to support the people who distribute the materials, funds, etc. The video doesn't say to NOT spend money -- that would hurt the economy. It says to re-think WHERE the money is spent.

well you can spend the Money to teach them how to have Sex without spreading HIV or AIDS the people how do this they also Need Money for themselves Thats why they are working As dictors or teachers in africa..

so you are right Money isnt all in the World but with our society ( who loves money) we can only change things with Money :)

so i think we all can help with a Little Money but we also Must Start to live different :)
