why on earth would a pro tog go to a 1 hour photo place for prints?

Thank you for informing me about why my photos don't come out well when printing at the drugstore.
I have a good home printer and now that the price of ink has dropped precipitously I can now make better prints at home for less money and on better paper.

I'm a photo specialist at walgreens and this is spot-on! Working in retail sux

I go to school with people like this.. they drive me nuts. Clearly Walgreens is not going to have professional quality prints. I'm a photo student so I just want to say we aren't all that stupid.

Good job on the video. I shoot Weddings throughout the Midwest. My customers expect the best and that's what we give them. My turn around time is longer but my customers are guaranteed quality prints & albums. A real professional would not print at a 1hr photo lab. Not that you cant print professional quality photos within an hour but A real professional understands the importance of a professionally calibrated printer that can understand Adobe color profiles and various paper styles. This is sooooo TRUE!
I worked at a Longs photo counter for 2 years and we had customers like this almost daily!

If the photographer knows what he/she is doing in his/her computer post processing of the image files and can get the info on the machines use for printing. They can get very good prints from a drug store. But you can't expect Miracles. Here's a clue- The guy at the drug store is a clerk not a technician, the guy at the camera store is a salesmen not a photographer. And a photographer is a technically adept artiest not a guy with an expensive camera.

This is trill

Those aren't professionals. Those are lomographers (aka they enjoy shitty pictures)

Yep. The information is totally on that box.
I am a professional photographer and I don't use these 1 hour photo places for pics. If I did need to use one however, I would never dream of treating someone like this.

@hix1117: when I worked at Walgreens we had this one bitch come in and scream at every single photo tech in the lab, I mean SCREAM! My photo head told her to never bring her pictures to this lab again. We had this other girl who handed me a CD and wanted me to do everything on the kiosk for her. I told her I would help her, but she said "no, do them." I dropped her damn CD on the counter and told her to "come back later, maybe someone else will do them for you." I don't take that crap!

@rosenrot1337: thanks for watching. Graphic Designers are also guilty of asking me to print things our Fugi printer can't print. Like this one graphic designer who couldn't have normal sized Christmas greeting cards. He wanted a special size made just for him in order to accommodate his shitty design. I told him to go back on his Mac and change his design to fit our formats. He bitch, moaned then canceled his order after I printed him 100 cards. I can't stand these professional bastards
