... when people were supporting the winners, regardless of the circumstances, and not making a rash remark about the collision. What's even worse about your character is the discrimination implicated towards older paddlers and blind paddlers as a way to insult RFX. I really hope the other members of BAD don't resemble the same characteristics.
A message to everyone in the DB community, I realize all of this was a long time ago, but let's not forget what this sport is about and why we do it.

oh... we hit a tree and our boat was a bit destroied ;-) but we repaired it :-D And in some years the guys in the video will laugh about it, because something like that you CANNOT forget =) This can happen to everybody!! (sry for my bad english, i'm from germany^^)

This is DISGRACEFUL, bad sportsmanship at its worse! Keep paddling past crew members in the water?? UNBELIEVABLE . I am embarrassed for all of you!

This gives me a bad impression of bad ahah, just saying, they didn't even go back to help, when dieselfish did.

I just so happened to watch this to reminisce, and cannot believe the lack of character displayed by multiple parties. This message, however, is specifically towards *potatonut*. It's quite obvious you are not on DW, as any competitor would be upset and not "over it" in 30 min if they were the ones being hit. Yes, it was an accident. I'm not sending blame here nor there, but the opportunity to win was taken away. I also find it absolutely disrespectful to comment about RFX...

N00b here. I'm sure it was unintentional. Just a series of unfortunate events. Let "by gones be by gones" and move on. Look forward to meeting you all.

btw... did they get a re-race? What happened to the unfortunate people that got hit? Like... did they get a re-race or just they lost?

is this highschool or what?
Oh well, I'm not part of DW, so I should not have started to speak for them.

The general advice given to paddlers is to keep paddling if a collision occurs since it keeps the boats more stable. The video certainly support this advice, since DW apparently flipped not after the collision but after certain paddlers stopped paddling.

That wouldn't work here. DW left side could not paddle unless they wanted to bash someone's head, but you'd have the right paddling. Will that stabilize the balance? If it were a T-bone, it'd be better to continue paddling, but this was a side-to-side collision.

How come no one stopped and helped those in distress?

BAD kept paddling. Diesel Fish came back and helped after they finished the race.
