Holy shit! It's changed. I was talking about this place at the weekend, I was there in January 1995, There was barely anything there, we stayed in a windowless concrete bunker with one bed. The toilet was outside and a pig ate whatever passed through. Now the place is full of juggling, djembe playing tosspots, the beach full of parasols and the lagoon has restaurants surrounding it. It's ruined my afternoon.

Did somebody actually try again to plant palmtrees on the dune? I would be surprised, if they stayed there after the monsoon...^^

Wow,1988 gab es dort weder Strandliege,Sonnenschirm oder überhaupt Bebauung und der Weg dorthin war eine schöne Kraxelei.It changed very fast.

I went in 2006 and it was still pretty peaceful. A few brollies doesn't make it calangute. As long as you still have to walk there, it will remain a quiet place.....hopefully. just booked to go back in 2011.
Maybe it'll have doof doof music and a rollercoaster on the beach.....

Shame about all the huts, brollies and chairs. It was a nice backwater with none o' that nonsense!
