Dean Forest Railway:

The Dean Forest Railway meanders for nearly 5 miles from Lydney Junction Station (adjacent to Lydney Station of Network Rail, UK) Northwards through the town of Lydney (with stations at St Mary's Halt, Lydney Town) then onwards to the Steam Centre at Norchard, just North of Lydney beside the B4234 road. Here the railway enters the Forest Of Dean and goes onward to the present terminus at Parkend. Hopefully, more track may be re-laid to take it further Northwards into some of the best parts of the forest.
