  • Thats a Landspout.

  • you're heading up elevation there and that's kinda rare isn't it to have a tornado up that high?

  • This was a landspout because there was no wall cloud. No hail no lightening no thunder and no rotation. Basically a glorified dust devil. There was no hook recorded on radar either.

None the less a great video!

  • Cool, but a very weak tornado.

  • When was the tornado?

  • cool !

  • land spouts and tornadoes are the same thing, its a common mistake to say diffrently, they are both rotating columns of air that form in the updraft of a thunderstorm. thier dusty appearence normally occours when the base of the thunderstorm is higher from the ground and the conditions are dryer, though they still will cause the same amount of damage depending on the catagory of the storm. the lac of precip and stationary movement of the storm gives the tornado the classic landspout appearance

  • That's actually a land spout. Very similar to a tornado though.

  • Nice, thats an awesome landspout!
