@groganzolla1 No, the plate at the bottom is just a piece of metal over a piece of plastic - no hotplate. It does stay hot enough for me though (just).

I can't stand coffee (too bitter, makes me hyper and gives me stomach cramps) and yes I did think this is tech gadgets channel. However, that made no difference at all since I watched the entire video and found it fascinating! :)

It is useful to know how someone like you thinks and solves problems too.

I believe these only work in the newer bosch machines. I first saw them a year ago and they've made it no closer to the UK

@MichaelMantion What do you mean selling out? I saw a half price coffee machine in Tesco called a K-fee. Went looking for info about it on the net, found out that it was a German machine and as a result found some German coffee retailers. I then went looking on their sites to see if there were different Tassimo T-Discs in Germany too, discovered the Maxi T-discs and Jug, ordered one for myself and thought that other people might be interested to know that these things exist. Why is that wrong?

@Techmoan, i like your video about coffee machines, but I have to say just a thing: for italian standards the first coffee you are making isn't really an "espresso" is more of a Long coffee ehehe

Probably you would be disappointed with italian espressos!

@iomjames My taste buds are a bit useless at the moment (I've got a cold) - so I can't properly comment on this. It's all a bit subjective anyway - but you can get lots of different maxi t-discs from the German retailer I've linked to in the video description - so there should be something suitable for every palate.

@Techmoan I watch all your videos anyway. I want one of these Machines now. Though while watching this video gave me the time needed for my coffee machine to make that faithful gurgle sound telling me its time for a drink!
