New Super Mario Bros Wii Multiplayer: World 8-Bowser's Castle

Part 71 of a multiplayer playthrough of New Super Mario Bros Wii for the Nintendo Wii. Mario (MacDaddyNook), Luigi (SunBurntKen), Blue Toad (Duck) and Yellow Toad (RyuKasakei) trek through the first world on their quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser.

Only the King of the Koopas stands in the way of the Mario Bros. and Toads from saving the princess. Bowser's Castle is a fairly straightforward level with fire bars and lava. The second portion is a slow downward scrolling area where players must take refuge on temporary platforms while they wait for the lava to recede.

Once they reach Bowser, they must get past him to the switch ala Super Mario Bros. to send him into the fiery drink. However, being the final boss, Bowser isn't quite through yet as some Magikoopa magic grows him to gargantuan size. Players must survive the assault of the gigantic Koopa King as they scramble over platforms to where Princess Peach is held.

At the end of the game, Nintendo included a fun little competition for the credits. Everyone's names are made of blocks with some containing coins. Naturally, the player with the most coins wins so players will have to smash their way to the top score. It's a nice little addition and a fun approach to the credits.

And with that, the main game of Super Mario Bros. Wii ends. However, there is still more to the game with World 9 and a handful of exclsuvie levels for the competitive Coin Battle mode.

My advice: Take the Propeller Suit and you'll beat this game really easy.
