This is a video of a level exclusive to the Japanese Sega Saturn version of Castlevania:SOTN (Known in Japan as Akumajo Gekka no Yasoukyoku). Aside from deleted areas, the Saturn version had more familiars, more enemies, additional bosses, and the ability to play as Maria.

  • Is it just me or are we Americans getting cheated out of extra levels, enemies, bosses, items and playable characters; I am just asking. And I swear I one of those monsters made a noise one of the "Bushido Blade: characters(Tatsuma) makes when he swings his Katana around, of course I doubt anyone but me even knows what Bushido Blade is but zseriously someone tell Konami to STOP CUTTING GAME CONTENT WHEN MAKING THE AMERICAN VERSIONS OF IT'S GAMES it is gettting really annoying...

  • @SamiWheeler Konami can go suck a fat one. We got jipped.

  • @SamiWheeler only in japan my friend

    only in japan

  • I played this game 11 years ago and only now am I seeing this. It seems every year I learn something new about this game. I would've loved to play this stage.

  • @SamiWheeler Bushido Blade was one of the best fighters I ever played; loved the unique style.

I know that wasn't your point. Regardless, I had to say so.

  • Well guys, what to do?

Those Tanakas hardly share something with this side of the world U_U

Digimon Lost Evolution? I'm waiting for news about it's usa/eur version until today..

Harvest Moon Twin Villages? Waiting for it as well..

And many many other games we don't see being released outside there Òó!!

And some have part of their contents cut out just like castlevania SoTN...It is still a great game though

  • @SamiWheeler They did the same with kingdom hearts. Japan gets the remixed versions, we get jack shit.

  • @cakestalker Maybe, but overall it's America that gets the better treatment (especially if you're a jRPG-fan), even though the games would have a huge market over here too.

Still, I think it's useless to complain if a game is a couple of (small and useless) areas shorter and cry how we're being left out just because of that. Symphony of the Night didn't suffer for it as a whole. It was and still is an amazing game, and long enough as it is.

  • @ZealSeraph

there have been a lot of instances where games have been only released in japan and europe too.

  • Great area. I like it
