The Central African Republic is one of the least developed countries in the world and one of the least stable since it gained independence from France in 1960. The country has been wracked by internal conflict and a succession of coups. It's the sixth poorest nation in the world despite its vast unexploited mineral wealth of gold, diamonds and uranium. Amid the poverty, more than 3-thousand children sleep on the streets of the capital Bangui, every night. Al Jazeera's Andrew Simmons reports from the city streets.
Respond to this video... People today won't even marry someone because of their skin colour is too dark, they are all black, yet that is racism right there.
Just goes to show you, there are always two sides.

@wakeupworld100
They only people who were swing through the trees were the people there, not Europeans. Everybody that has come from Africa in recent centuries would not have the lives they have today.
It was the breakthrough of the Europeans that moved Africa out of its old fashoned way of life, with ignorance and discrimination.

If I were president there, I'd focus on Health and education, and basic services.
I'd proclaim neutrality to all of Africa, a good border patrol to protect the borders.
This sort of initiative is needed by president Bozize.

One reason I can definitely point out that creates this stark contrast in living conditions is that most developed countries offer tax breaks to people who donate to charity. I'm not sure how many countries in Africa do this but I'm sure it is next to none.
