@thebritish25 Perhaps I should start to lecture you on the communist revolution in Russia so you understand what irrelevence is. I'm sure you know lots about it, and it has nothing to do with what we were discussing.

@thebritish25 What about the WW2 detail matters? I've shown an understanding of modern history, I don't need a history lesson. As I already said you didn't make any form of a valid point. There was no reason for the history lesson.
You didn't make a point regarding the beginning of the cold war, we'd moved on from that, I'd already told you it was disputed with most historians agreeing it had started in the early 50's.

@jackhwo1 World War 2 ?? we our not talking about world war 2 we our talking about the start of the Cold War.

Our you just after the last comment or something ??

@thebritish25 Why are you giving me a basic history lesson? I've shown a clear knowledge of history regarding WW2, I don't need a refresher course thanks. You aren't giving any form of a valid point. There was no need to reply.

@jackhwo1 Eventually Poland did get to become its own state but it was a puppet goverment whose strings where pulled from Moscow.

@jackhwo1 Stalin died in 1953.
But I see what you our saying that it did not start getting shall we say " Intresting" till the early 50s.
But the disagreements started in 1945 after the war when the Soviets refused to relent on the issue of an independent Poland the allies wanted it free as technicaly thats what the Brits went to war over but Poland was part of the Russian Empire so the soviets belived it belonged to them

Mad world? are you kidding?, it would be even madder if we never had a nuclear capability to defend ourselves.

@thebritish25 It's disputed amongst historians when the date for the beginning of the Cold war should be put, however nobody claims it began in 1945. Most agree it should be put in the early 50's, although the earliest I've seen it to be put is 1947. So, not 1945. And my point was that Stalin was largely uninvolved in the Cold war after his death in 1951. Considering the vast majority of the Cold war was after that.

@jackhwo1 Acually the Cold War started in 1945 when the Allies and Soviets disagreed over how Europe should look after the war.
It hit its first crisis in 1948 when the soviet locked down East Germany in an attempted to starve the allies into submission and give up Berlin but the allies just flew over it the Berlin Airlift.
But both sides where planning to attack each other Stalin planned to "Liberate" Europe while the Allies where planning Unthinkable in late 45

@AntonyThorburn Humans are the intelligent species, simply because we're the only species with the mental capacity to make the claim of being the intelligent species...
God help us? No he won't help. But the flying spagetti monster might.
