@toucansam999 and he has to remember to keep up with the show, so not only is he doing all that....but he's doing it while jumping around. I gotta give him a toat load of props for how talented he is on and off the stage :)

I met him after a show in June, he is hands down one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He is just a person like the rest of us, I was on stage the entire time for my show that I attended, he is a true inspiration, his music is just pure joy and is impossible to recreate, I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have tried mashing songs and it comes out terrible, he is a god at what he does and gives his all at every show. This is also the BEST bootleg I have ever listened to.

I use to play with Traktor Scratch (with LP`s as timecodes) and think it doesn`t matter wich kind of equipment you have....what is really important is if you can surprise and present something that touchs people...move the crowd is the point, not if you use turntable, cdj, or whatever....just my point of view ;-)
-
And he's up on stage moving crowds of thousands while you sit at home watching him, envying him and thinking of "clever" things to say to show everyone he really "has no talent." Fuckin losers
-
Everyone who thinks Girl Talk suck go try and do what he does. It is one of the most difficult things you will ever attempt. So much respect for this guy
-
My comments are directed towards the wedding dj with down syndrome onstage who thinks he's doing something other than copywright infringement. Wedding dj'd.

@bcp5296d "pick up an instrument"? How about you pick up a goddamn dictionary before you start insulting others' intelligences?
-
@toucansam999 well put.

@toucansam999 not trying to argue but he practices this shit right? its not like he just comes up with this in a snap. its like producing a beat with all the layers in mind but performs it live. im not discrediting his ear in music. id give him that tho.
-
@bcp5296d oh man, you sure showed me! even though for some reason your comment was directed towards me, I'm not girl talk nor do dj in any way. i was just explaining that he has monitors, so he wouldn't need headphones. i actually play real instruments, and in a band, you use monitors, because headphones would look retarded and i was just explaining that to people. But you really shit talked me good on that irrelevant rant that didn't specifically target anything i actually said! congrats!

RANT
1 He mixes this live, he doesn't just "press play." All of his shows are different
2 This is more than simply mixing two songs together, as with turntable setups. Gregg samples from as many as 5 songs at the same time
3 Yes he uses a computer. there's no other set up capable. And it's still not easy, you deal with matching pitch and chords along with syncing the beat and keeping your samples from conflicting.
Your dumb negative comments just show your close mind and lack of musical taste

@trojan&brwnluva. You rookies have obviously never touched turn tables or actually stepped backed to think of the actual music being made here. This man takes old rock/pop songs, from the last 2 generations...yeah 2, and creates SEAMLESS beats that sound good. (Look up seamless)... sounds easier than it actually is. F a stupid computer, it takes a special kinda ear to mix raw ass rap tunes with old school classics. Stop hatin' and start creatin' if this music is so simplistic.BUT U PROB WONT
