The dislikes most likely come from the deaf community. They are strongly opposed to the idea of cochlear implants.

@yodagreennutsack its not about culture here. its about making this babies life the best it can be. and the happiness on this babies face to hear his mum (mom) is absolutely speechless, so so happy. thats what its all about :)
