@visitinguncle The lyrics have always confused me, but your analysis makes pretty good sense. I remember when Kelley had her troubles in '94, then this album came out. Was Pacer supposed to be the next Breeder's album?

@avclubman Ideas on the song's meaning? Some of Kim's densest lyrics here, but it sounds like she's coldly evaluating the counterculture and its various movements' failure to capitalize on the footing they got in the 60s & 70s.
