So yesterday I had a jump lesson with Harley! It went very well. It was my first lesson with this new trainer I am taking lessons from. In the beginning on the flat we worked on getting Harley in a better trot, finding the perfect rhythm and also getting him to respond to my aids a bit quicker and without to much energy from me. We practiced that through a lot of transitions and keeping him in a marching walk from one bat by the crop. He began to progress into it. During our jumping we worked on a grid, and making sure the approach to the grid was great. At the end we did a mini course and Harley went pretty well, I was proud of him yesterday. He is still very green in jumping, I tought him to jump myself last spring, so he isn't perfect, that's why I am taking lessons to progress, and so I can compete Beginner Novice and Novice for this season!
Enjoy
