@oncemarkonce he is pure Malaysian as he's born & raised in Malaysia. So are his parents & great grandparents. He's probably the 4th generation of Chinese in Malaysia...

@LLNagashi It is not a must for Lee Chong Wei to speak Mandarin nor learn the Chinese language. It is simply a plus to know more languages as language is a valuable asset and skill in life. Lee Chong Wei is a Malaysian. He is for sure multi lingual. Although Chong Wei is nationally Malaysian, he does practice Chinese cultures like celebrating the Spring Festival, using chopsticks and enjoys rice and noodle based staple food.

@oncemarkonce Lee chong wei is nto chinese, he speak manderan ( forgot how to spell it ) but it doesnt mean he is chinese, he prob had to learn it since its the main language in china like english in canada ( everyone has to know english in canada )
