In the beginning, the Kinks brought heavy metal to the world, about a decade early.
They brought music hall and a touch of vaudeville to rock and roll.
Now here they are outpunking the punks.
Which leads me to conclude that they are nothing less than musicians' musicians. They are meta-musicians. They showed everybody else how to do it !

Great song and band. Love the riff and the drums. It's the same riff as in another great song by The Kinks; "All day and all of the night."
