pls - anyone - find the dictionary definition of the word "cripple" - it's not in ANY sense a derogatory term -- a square is a square, a circle is a circle - calling someone "physically challenged" is idiotic as with the other terms -- it's playing on egocentrism of the group in question and sugar coating the language --- inventing new language phrases and in sense distorting the language to make some "feel better" is pitying them more than calling ppl with plain language....

Oh, I hate it when people act like disabled people or people with cancer or whatnot somehow have MORE courage than people who don't have something physically wrong with them. Just because I've never had the opportunity to overcome disability or discrimination, that means I could never do it, or I'm somehow weaker than people who have? Fuck you. There are better ways to admire someone than to put everyone else down.

I think there's a difference between calling someone "a cripple" and describing someone as "crippled". The former implies that their physical limitation completely defines who they are as opposed to it simply being one aspect of who they are.

In a society which is going down the drain like ours i actually question "normal" is a state where you are in the position to pity someone for example with Downsyndrom. I dont know if those "Mongos" which is a german slang word, would rape, murder, poison, and sell their kind into slavery....
