He plagues the minds of those he induces
His proud demeanor terrorizes
The battered honor, a shamed descendant
His fall advanced by his imperfections

Wise by nature she's known a Sibyl
The words, the future, the knowledge she holds
The parchment gathered, the books assembled
Her presence known, the bystanders grow silent

King of Rome I've come to offer a trade
Words herein recount the future to be
See the fate of the one Kingdom thou stakes
This device, procured by payment in gold

Wretched old woman you think me a fool
Thy bid's appalling unaware of the rule
Your feeble mind has left thee in risk
Accept this chance rescind

My foolish King thine arrogance is clearly blatant
Was this for what thou will always be remembered for?
What of the bloodshed the dead who died to feed thine ego
Dost thou not seek the title noble king who is immortal?

The burning candle ignites the parchment
The room is still and the tension's amounting
The King he sits and examines her actions
Prejudgment proved in the smoldering ashes

Dense retort I had presumed in the least
Three remain in threat upon thine own tongue
Dost thou choose to set aside thine own pride?
Watch thy words or trust the rest will be dust
